When we were in LMNH at Christmas they gave us a copy of a photo journal of the Tour d France which was being launched and sold at their evening do. Its very nice too......but it really isnt as good as yours Nat.
Looks brill Nath. Just got an email that mine has been despatched. I'll be sure to read mine sat in front of our fan assisted oven, door open, set to gas mark 6 or 7, to recreate that Tour De Yorkshire 2013 magic.
I'll also sprinkle on some itching powder at some point to recreate that less magical midge invasion every evening, that kept us from loitering outside with an evening bitter.
Buttertubs!
Reminds me: here is a route from Geoff's to do Buttertubs the TdF direction [and Askrigg and Turf Moor too]. 55 miles. Need to know from Geoff if Sleightholme Road is all doable on road bike though. Google Street View van doesn't cover a mile or two of it. If not doable: you can see it's via the A66 and The Stang instead. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3900398
To answer that ....don't think so Martin. It's pretty gruesome for last 3 miles. I'm going to ride it when conditions improve. It is my real regret that this route isn't road bike friendly. I have an alternative approach, but it means going over the Stang...I'll check your route and send the alternative. You coming up here then Martin, or are you totally committed to the CCA cycling weekend event down there?
Unsure about coming up over TdF weekend Geoff. But might get to Geoffington one day, only 99 miles from me mam's house... if Sleightholme Road is doable. So there's yer weekend recce mission!
