Cheers Robbie! Good towing skills on the way back. My garmin turned itself off and on again randomly so lost a bit of route, reckon it was about 5hrs of riding for me and Pete. Wee bit breezy...
Phew. 40mph gusts of crosswind made that possibly the hardest ride I've ever done on our home turf! Q glad to get home in 1 piece Hats off to Fearless Leader who showed us exactly how deep the flooded section of road was at Shingay-cum-Wendy. And I learnt what it is that keeps Will smiling no matter how tough the riding gets. I hope his batteries last forever:)
Really enjoyed the ride and thanks for easing up for me and to Phil for dropping back to give me a wheel and a very helpful push at times. I will get back up to speed hopefully soon? The ride from the Wrestlingworth crossroads back to Biggleswade can only be described as brutal. I had stopped just short of Dunton to stretch cramp, just avoided falling in a heap.
Made it back just before the next back of rain with 75 miles on the clock.
