TDF 2014 Grand Depart Trophy

edited February 2014 in General
If you are interested in seeing it the Grand Depart Trophy for 2014 will apparently be on display in the Grand Arcade in Cambridge sometime in the next two weeks - I'll check when exactly and confirm.
This is the TDF's version of the Olympic torch... Trophy and Cav Trophy in Yorkshire

Its also doing a mini-tour of Cambridgeshire next week,
Tuesday Sawston, Weds Soham and Ely,Thursday Wisbeach, Friday St Neots.
where it will be presented to local schools.

If any young CCA rider is interested there may be the opportunity to appear with the trophy and answer some questions about what cycle racing is like at one of the schools in Sawston or St neots, dressed in CCA kit. I know it means missing school but on the off-chance anyone is interested let me know and I'll put you in touch with the guy whos organising the "trophy relay"

Also for what its worth if you are considering cycling into Cambridge on Monday 7th July to see the start, there are proposals for secure bike parking at a couple of rugby clubs. can provide more detail nearer the time.
