Then team review and Carb loading, chip tapas
    8pm starting Rose and Crown

    The Pyrenees Sunday 09.30
Spanish team shirts get 30 extra points

Won't make the prologue as some of us work on Fridays, rather than have a siesta.

Definitely there to carbo load and meet San Miguel and his amigos.

Should also make the Raid Pyrenean on Sunday. Need the training for Chilterns and Dragon rides.

    Hasta Ma
  • BBQ at Lunch
steak , chicken , salad ( with avo ) and garlic bread

  • Unfortunately not.....will make up for it with a few electrolyte drinks tonight.

Pirates and grog.....a good mix.....just don't bring your bikes.....
  • I have a Boris bike so ok
    See you soon
  • Brompton has served me well enough in the prologue across London just now, but will be folded up and put away....in fact just like its owner later tonight......

Great fun with fellow pirates.Sensible conversation about all things bike. No politics. No nonsense. The chips were down....unlike Nobby's Nuts!

Continued the Spanish theme at home with a cheeky couple of glasses of Rioja with the Flying Dutchwoman, in the garden watching the stars....

  • Prologue, carb loading, now the Pyrenees
    You will indeed see stars

Did indeed see stars...was close enough to them after climbing up seemingly all the local longer hills.

Claybush a rude start, Baldock to Weston steep, Barley to Gt Chishill a long one, Newsells the road went on forever (couple of local riders decided it was too much and turned around half way up). Plenty of others to keep us honest.

    Ain't no mountain high enough.....

  • In Spain the pain is always plain
    Compact gears required
Windmill just the taster on DJ hill
    Just the 4 B's , no time for 5
It is great when it stops

Been to church to listen to opera
    More highs to come,
    Let the adventure begin
