0930 Club Ride Sunday 11th May

We had a good ride this morning. In the absence of everyone else Shaun Nichols and I enjoyed a ride over to Sandon and villages beyond. The weather conditions were bracing but it was good to go out as it was my first ride for a while.

Shaun - thanks for the coffee and there are a number of club members who would be able to help with any bike servicing needed, including Richard Maynard and Tim Duckett. This morning your bike seemed to go very well so I can't imagine that you'll need much, but it is worth being pro-active - the usual problems that I see with bikes bought as complete bikes are difficulty in removing the bottom bracket and stuck seat posts.

    Didn't make it this morning. Went for some hill climbing practice later around Barkway, Barley, Gt Chishill, Elmdon, Ickleton area......I need a lot more practice!

    Mixed weather conditions on the Sunday run but nothing that would persuade me to stay indoors. Quite disappointed with the turnout!
