I opted for the Medio at 97 miles, met Mickg Martin and also Angela who hasn't ridden with the club for a while but will be back.
Phil K also did Gran but I only saw him from the car as I was heading for my civilised 9.30 start.
good climbs, awesome decents, great road surfaces, good food stops, good weather(including the downpour towards the end = cooling!)
140miles (225km), 2900m of climbing, ride time 9hrs 25mins, total time 10hrs 9mins
whilst it is a "big" sportive with lots of riders, the route, the climbs and the views are marvellous - would recommend
Shame the Fred Whitton Challenge (13,000ft & 112 miles inc' some dangerous descents on ridiculously rippled tarmac) can't be moved to accommodate you in 2015.
Suspect lactic acid might have a thing to say were that the case?
