Colchester Rover grass track
Three CCA youth riders braved the blustery and showery weather to compete in the Colchester Rover grass track meeting.
In the U10s Nathan Hardy and Joseph Hadsley felt as though they were interrupting a club event as they were the only non Colchester participants. Nathan was neck and neck with home rider Jodie Taylor after 3 events. A very strong handicap in which he made up the ground from his handicap mark to win the race and a one/two by the boys in the final scratch race gave him 1st place overall. Joseph rode consistently enough to claim third place overall.
Henry Skelding rode in the largest youth field of the day in the U16s. I didn't get his result unfortunately.
