Weather set fair for Sunday. Meet outside the 3 Tuns as usual.
Route is The Bourn(e) Ultimatum to include Bourn, Melbourn and Bassingbourn. Flat 46 miles @ 16-17mph average. Back in plenty of time to watch t' Tour de Yarkshire.
All are welcome, but please take note of the following as a guide:
Please use good riding etiquette when out on this club ride It is neither a training run nor a race. It is a social ride with the chance to speak to your fellow riders Two straight lines keeping a steady pace, where traffic conditions allow. Riders on the outside line please move forward one position when you hear the call 'change'. We all take a turn on the front. Don't half wheel to prove you're stronger than the rider next to you Let's all keep together, please listen for any instructions to slow down for the group. We don't leave anyone behind Don't cross the middle of the road please and respect other road users. If you are in any doubt re the above, read the other recent posts on the forum The Lost Art of Group Riding and Group Riding Etiquette. All sound advice and good manners, really. Oh, and let's have some fun
Just 4 intrepid souls out today for the Bourn(e) Ultimatum. Perhaps folks are saving themselves for another small event happening nearby in Cambridge tomorrow?!
46 miles @ 17.4mph, a little quicker than advertised due to the flat parcours. Young James could have obviously gone a bit quicker! All stayed together, hope you all enjoyed it.
Thanks to the Maynard cafe for the coffee and much needed cake at the finish.
Just spotted us all on ITV4
Break away in saffron, breaks to peloton with a green tractor on the left, we are on the right.
Mr Adams centre stage
We where there !
