Spalding CC grass track racing
From Shane Norton, organiser of the Spalding CC grass track event this Saturday (19th August):-
I can't be there myself this year but it's well worth the journey. Good racing, especially against Spalding's own kids as they have a thriving youth section like ours. There's Go-Ride racing for freewheelers as well as the usual fixed-wheel events. Excellent refreshments too, as I remember.

Races start from 12.30pm
Today's Omnium scoring winner gets one point, second gets two etc with non finishers getting the equivalent of last place plus two points (300m sprint final, points awarded 1,2,3,4 respectively) Lowest points score wins. (Ladies omnium will be decided over the Devil, Handicap and 8k races only).
Event 1- Juvenile Omnium 1 lap time trial pursuit
U16 - U12 - U10 - Freewheel Go Race
Event 2 - Devil take the Hindmost
Senior/Junior/Ladies (last rider out each lap)
U16 (last rider out each lap)

Event 3 - 800m Sprint heats
