Saturday 19th July 9.30am club ride
Well another Saturday and another Met office severe weather warning in place ! Looks like we have the curse of the Saturday rain fairy on us at the moment !!
So three options again for tomorrow:
1. go west for a bit of a new route to west to Marston Moretaine/Stewartby area (48 miles) that we still haven't managed to do yet this year
Ashwell-Marston Moretaine-Cotton End-Southhill-Ashwell

2. or as its supposedly better the further east you go, do a route over towards Elmdon and then pick up the Geoff Denny route through Furneux Pelham for a bit of variation.
3. Sit inside and watch the rain cascading off the rooftops.........
Will update in the morning

Let's decide on a route at the Tuns.....
Excellent charge down to slip end taught me two lessons, if it's all about power to weight ratio in a sprint I'm doomed as I have got neither! Also the terminal velocity of an eight speed Giant Defy is exactly 28.5mph !!
Thanks all for an excellent ride this morning, I got 44 @ 16 back at the Tuns. Oh and it was dry for pretty much 90% of the ride
Really enjoyable ride, with some superb new villages I didn't know existed.
Don't to be too harsh about your sprinting exploits, you came past me with a youthful vigour that you should be proud of. I,m sure Emma was!!
