New Mavic wheels = 2x flats
Mavic wheels it seems are something if a mixed blessing.
Over 2000 miles, no punctures. I chopped out my old wheels for some new Mavic wheels and ... two punctures.
Looking at the ridiculously narrow, plastic tape that barely, not even, covered the spokes on the inside of the rim, said tape was off-centre too, it was clear where some of the costs has been saved.
The moral of the story - perhaps check the internal rim tape (?) next you have your wheel(s) naked as the inept Mavic plastic rim tape led directly to two unnecessary flats?

been there done that i alway cut the plastic ones off and use the old style tape .
