Vuelta

Whilst this is the oldest discussion within the sport I can't help but think the last time I saw Contador finish a stage like today was when he was caught doping.

Not normal or just great form?

  • I was thinking exactly the same watching the highlights tonight. It does look like the margins between the best riders is reasonably small suggesting fair play (or they are all on the same special water). Contrador for was only able to attack near the end and looked on the limit following Froome. Shame we never got to see all the big names breasting each other in the TdF.
  • I'm convinced Nibali doped to win the tdf. The way he rode away from his nearest rivals, seemingly at ease, when he felt like it, and never had a bad stage.

At least in the Vuelta the favorites have been having a bit of a slugfest.

Btw, girlie punch up in the breakaway!!!
  • Yep, looked odd to me. Very close between Ale and Contador in previous stages, yesterday he could put the best part of a minute into him!

As for the fight, that was just a bonus
