Racing news

edited September 2014 in Road Racing
CCA has it's first 1st cat, I do believe. Due to an alteration of results from a race a little while ago Anthony Morris received the points he needed to take him up to his 1st category licence. Not that he needed them, as he came 3rd in last Sunday's Shaftesbury CC Road Race, which would have taken him well over what he needed.

Not only does he get a brand spanking new licence, but he is also topping the ERRL riders table currently with only a handful of races left in the season.

Aaaaaand CCA is sat in 4th place in the club standings. Not bad going at all, it's been a good season for the racers!

In other news, Bryn Davies had some good results on the grass track to get him his 2nd cat licence.

If you're interested in racing or curious about what it involves, just ask any one of the guys who will now be out on the club runs more frequently as most people's racing has now come to an end till March. It's great fun, a huge rush and really works you hard, pushing you further than you could have previously imagined (just try and keep your breakfast down).

  • Hey that's brilliant news!

And richly deserved. Well done Ant and Bryn! Well done CCA too!
  • Congratulations to both Bryn and Anthony. First cat is a really hard thing to achieve and tops a magnificent season.

For those that don't know, you need 12 points to move from 4th to 3rd cat, 40 more to move to 2nd and then 200 more to move up to first...
  • Our first First cat, brilliant well done Anthony. Well done Bryn too, hope you get a chance to race as a second cat next year!
  • Congrats congrats!
  • Fantastic results to both - in fact all the racers. Great to see this side of the club develop!
