Saturday 17th October 9.30am club ride

As it was slightly more lumpy than expected last week, lets go for something slightly flatter this week:

No sure if the road past Sutton to Dunton is still closed, so we will go Guilden/Wrestlingworth/Potton/Everton to start and Northfields on the return...

And if we don't do this, we will do plan..........E (we have used up plans A-D already !!)

Comments

  • The road is still closed, I'll let you know when it reopens.

  • I'm going for plan E - cycling round Grafham with the family. Might also find time to look at some bikes!

    Have a good one.

Twelve of us out yesterday for the now traditional slightly inclement weather Saturday morning ride.

Surprising we did almost the ride described above, so a north/south route with a swift first 20 miles with a lovely tailwind and an almost as swift return thanks to Nathan & Stewarts sterling work into the breeze. As a few weeks ago my talisman of waterproofs and winter bike worked a treat as it was pretty much dry the whole way round and pretty warm by the end of the ride (although this could have been me just boiling up!)

No sprint this week, and after the Royston crowd left us the remaining peloton attempted a chain gang on the run in from Guilden to Ashwell - think we need a bit more practice with this !!

Final stats were 39.25 miles at 17. Thanks all for a great morning, really enjoy it.
  • David and Emma for the chaing gang? Spring training camps! It's all hotting up for next year!
  • Gota do something to keep up with all the Saturday speedsters !!
