  • Yo Ho Cap'n

Strong 20mph So' Westerlies forecast for Sunday
Damp, gritty roads from yet another Saturday deluge
Should make the hills and lanes interesting
Hoist the topsails and batten down the hatches

    Will the lost boys return?

    FD
  • The bullet ( faster than a speeding ) up north
no nonsense Nick due a hang over
Pete no where maybe there or somewhere
but lots more joining on deck

If as you say Preston it is
so climb the main sail - the view at the top is clear

    CH
  • Yo Ho

Lost Boys blown to the four winds - no mention of Cut Throat Jake?
All workers and shirkers welcome tomorrow, need to send out the press gang
Barring a serious incident with the grog, will be reporting for duty tomorrow
Weather forecast is heavy overnight rain, but dry by 8ish
Wind strength increasing through the morning, so blown back home
If Preston is the venue, then I'll ride over from Hitchin home port and tail off on the way back.
Some hills will be welcome. Did I just write that?'!

  • Preston / Hexton it is
    Dry but with increasing winds
    Winter pace

Agree a date for Captains Curry
Friday 5th Dec as a starter for 10
    ( nov already busy )

    See you tomorrow

  • Flying Dutchwoman off to Zurich on 5th December, leaving me in charge of kids, house, dogs etc
Friday curry will be welcome, in case I starve or poison myself
Will keep off the grog and drive though, in case of emergencies....true sportsman, me.
Fast food again likely the next day, as taking kids to Olympic velodrome for World Cup Cycling
Who says I never spoil them - first Manchester and now London.
Still, Zurich 6 dayer with the family could be even better next year......

  • Aye, aye cap'n
  • Into the hills and then blown back
    40 miles at 16 mph
Came across a cast away pirate, battling the high seas
    He looked oddly familiar
    A come back maybe ?

All aboard for a friendly tow
    CH
  • So Friday 5th dec then
Better halves ( if not abroad )
Let me know, will not book for a couple of weeks

    CH
  • Yo Ho

Battling the high seas better than bottling, I suppose.
All at sea more like, especially those mountainous waves around Preston
Gravity was only this buccaneer's mate on the downhill sections
Touched 40mph with the wind in the sails from Higham Gobion.
    Paleo Diet for Athletes beckons,
Inspired by Sargeant Pain, who had reduced in size to Lance Corporal
Throw the grog, ship's biscuits and bread overboard he says
Ship in the lettuce, fish, bird seed and water.

Flailing Dutchman to become either Flying or Failing? Watch this space.....

    FD
  • Thanks, John for that 40mph on-your-wheel buzz :)

Couldn't have done it without you ... and I will miss that when you're as slim as Sgt Pain
  • Yo, Sgt. Pain here.
