Ashwell-London-Ashwell commute - Thurs 5th June 5.40am

Me, Robbie, Jim Boyle are commuting to London - the scenic, direct way (to a point!) on Thursday morning 5th June, 5.40am - from Robbie's house on Back Street, Ashwell. Club run speed. Into central London before 8.30am. It's about 40 miles.
We'll be riding back in the evening, setting off from central London at 6pm. Back about 9pm.
All this is weather permitting - what with a working day in between.

Perhaps you lucky retired folk ride in and back in the morning? Back in time for Pebble Mill at One.
I think there might be another run on 12th June - I'm not around then to confirm.
Ashwell - Rushden - Walkern - Watton - Hertford - Hertingfordbury - Bayford - Newgate Street - Cuffley - Crews Hill - Forty Hill - Enfield - Tottenham - Highbury - Central London.

I don't think I can make this 5th as too much is happening..will try for 12th....being a retired old fart I'll probably wend my way straight back after a coffee and croissant.
