Reverse route of an old favourite tomorrow- rain possibly heading in from the west, so a bit of a SE(ish) direction

Ashwell-Barley-Langley-Clavering-Buntingford-Sandon-Ashwell

Open to suggestions though, so shout if you would like to do something else !

Right, I'm off to do some controversial carbohydrate loading.............

  • Actually, in your case it's not controversial, it's recommended!

Having said I won't be out tomorrow looks like I will be now.
  • Another lumpy one from David.

Amazing weather. Nice sprint down to the 505, which was won by the person with the new wheels. The lead out guy wasn't too shabby either.

    Deffo not out next week.

    Cheers
    Peter
  • It was nothing to do with the wheels - it was just that all of you boys were too slow...
You must try harder next time :-)

10 of us out yesterday for the lumpy route above. Strange when you do routes in reverse, always seems to be much harder than the 'normal' version!

As PeteT says, amazing weather again. Bit of a grey start, but the sun came out and the temp rocketed. Think that maybe it though for 2015, but you can never tell.....

So a lumpy start, a wizz down into Clavering and then a rolling route back to slip end and the sprint we are not going to mention :(

Finally tally was 40 miles @ 17 which was not too shabby considering the terrain and we were all on winter bikes

Thanks all for a good morning
  • Sorry to have missed it, sounds like a good one. Dave and I managed a cracking 15 miles at 11mph in N Yorkshire today. I can only hope the 33% gradients justify that speed!
