Eastern CX League at Fritton Lakes
It comes to something when the local league race is further away than the weekend's round of the World Cup! In fact I should make it home by midnight from the Fritton Lakes event.
The rather flat course had just one dismount for a fallen tree but did feature some tricky cambered corners. There was surprisingly little mud and it was generally worth the long journey.

The organisers did a great job with the kids and it was particularly nice that they'd arranged trophies and other prizes for them. A couple of event recently didn't even read out the winners' names for the U10s and U12s. To top it all, after the prize-giving they threw out packets of Haribo for the kids to grab. Our two loved it and it kept them quiet for at least part of the long trek home. Maybe 5 minutes...
