  • Forecast improving all the time
Rain due to clear as we start
    Westerly wind
So definitely on, see you tomorrow

  • Reverse two bridges variant
    The bullet in charge
    35 miles at 15 -16 mph
Northfields road a mud bath, probably best avoided
Couple of lost boys, but still a good crew
Did FD have a bad head after two days of drinking perhaps ?

    Good winter ride

No drinking but a list of other excuses, inter alia:

Home very late last night from UCI World Cup meet at Olympic Velodrome (driving precluding alcohol)
2 kids to ferry to swimming club
2 dogs to walk in the rain - my turn for a swim around Pegsden Hills!
Lingering remnants of a cold and a dodgy stiff back
Weekly food shopping to get in
House to tidy for return of Flying Dutchwoman, flying back from girls weekend in Zurich
    Sweep leaves from garden

I need a rest....hang on, Sunday is a day of rest!!

    The Domesticated Dutchman
  • Preparations for the return of the boss
Clear the crisp packets, beer cans and pizza boxes
    ( and that's the kids )

But sept gets closer with each week !

Windy day meant Dutchie was missed
Extra time next week to compensate
( according to the bullet )

    Yo Ho

Behind every good man is an even better woman. I heartily agree.

Also behind every club run peloton is a wily Cap'n.

House spick and span, cleaner than my bike, fire in the grate, dinner on the hob.

    Hope I get some Toblerone.
