For the older testers out there, this is some very sad news indeed:

He broke the 25 mile competition record with 48.07 in 1991, won the BBAR in 1990 and represented GB in the Barcelona Olympics.

Part of the all conquering Manchester Wheelers time trial squad who dominated the sport in the 1980's and early 1990's, when I was really into racing.

Such a shame.

Crikey thats bad news. I used to be in the same club as Gary and trained with him. Heck of a rider.
