  • Yo Ho fellow Buccaneers

Looks like a strengthening Sou' Westerly during the morning.

Blown back to Ashwell on a rising swell.

  • Dry, Bright, but cold with building south westerly
    Should be a reasonable day
Head west , probably Ireland way, get blown back
    ( a few miles that one )

A few lost boys returning is the rumour

    CP
  • Possibly a lost girl too

After 4 weeks rest, physio has given me the green light for a GENTLE return to the bike. There are new rules attached to this permission, so I have to be good

I've really missed riding with the club - heaven knows why, cos you are a bunch of nutters. Probably I am too :)
  • Girlie nutters welcome
We will sing a sea shanty to welcome you back
    Promise to be gentle

    CP
  • Sorry James, I won't be joining you today. (I'm only allowed 1hr on the bike, so will go out later when it's warmed up a bit)

Sun is out and it's going to be a gorgeous day. Have fun

Good ride for the magnificent 7
    37 miles at 15.5mph
Wind picked up towards the end as predicted
Roads ok with some ice at the edges first thing
    Ireland then reverse two bridges

Hope you recover soon Jane, see you when you are ready

  • Yo Ho

Just a short 25 miler @ 15.8mph for me this morning, to loosen the legs after yesterday and appease the Flying Dutchwoman. Managed to get to see the Flying Dutchgirl in her trampolining championship as well, so brownie points accrued!

    Good to see you all

  • Hi Strappy

Saw you and Dave Biggleswade later on his own
Feel free to join us another time and add another loop on

The wind did pick up as the day went on
Usual 10 minute rotation reduced to 2 mins for the last few miles
    We felt your pain !

    Cheers
    James

I think that was a very rear occasion for no one else to be out on a run.

Tim hector was around he said he would wait for you guy's not sure if he did.

Will gladly join you next time as long as you don't make me walk the plank .

    See you around

    Strappy
  • Yes Tim joined the crew last week
The plank and keel hauling are rarely used
But available for anyone getting out of hand

Usually more about the banter and having a laugh
Anyone welcome to try the high seas
