CC Hackney Open at Herne Hill Velodrome
Sophie Lewis rode in the youth omnium at Herne Hill today. It was a packed race meeting with adult races as well, so the under 14 and under 16 girls and boys were lumped together for their scratch race and devil. Sophie had a fantastic scratch race, beating all of the under 16 and under 14 girls. In the devil she finished top of the under 14's. The points race was separated out with separate under 16 and under 14 races. Sophie took maximum points, finishing first in every points scoring lap! Not surprisingly she finished 1st overall - not bad for a 12 year old!
