Perfect route for today's loopy weather. Thanks Nick
That long straight with a tailwind was enough to make anyone grin
And from behind me came the speedo readings: 25! ... 30! ... aaand 35! ... and I SO wanted to make it to 40, but just didn't quite have the legs. Next time
Enjoyed the ride but nominated to walk the plank at Offley, and rolled back to Letchworth with 35m at just over 15avg.
Got back home and remembered i'd driven over to Ashwell earlier,so had a couple of hours of Paris - Roubaix, then did
a brisk 20m on the cobbles (potholes) of north herts before collecting the car.
Definitely need some more miles after 6 months off the bike. See you next week.

Thanks for a great ride, i was a bit nervous about returning but as usual the pirates very accommodating to an ole sailor who had lost his way.
Highlights of the day, my garmin kept auto pausing on climbs just reminding me how slow i am.....thanks for that as if i needed reminding.
On the positive side my reassertion of Pete2 with a wheezing blast at the end but little match for the fit captain.
Really enjoyed the mid ride blast with the captain..i want to do 30 errh 35 errh 40...well you did and proof attached
Thanks again, great ride with great company, hopefully see you all soon

Good to be back and looking forward to our maiden voyage for 2015, come to think of it look forward to any maiden these days!
The captain a mere shadow of his former self but I fear the same cunning bubbles beneath
Have a safe trip
