Club 10 Result 29.4.15
23 riders out this evening with a biting SW wind to contend with. Most were a good 30 seconds slower than last week but there always seems to be 1 or 2 to buck the trend. Analysis and handicapping to follow as soon as I get a chance, I can tell you that Graham gets max points in the Northfield Handicap, gaining a free entry for next week, and for the second week running anyone within a minute of their PB earned themselves points or in Will's case, point.
Thanks to Finn and Jenny for time-keeping - a lot colder standing around than riding!

James, in referance to my comment at the end of shooting myself in the foot. This is part of a personal challenge for me, and Im the sort of person who expects improvements of myself once I've started cutting times down. I now expect myself to do the same again next week!
Hopefully upload some pics tomorrow
Spirits slightly deflated when at 1.1 miles, Cam flew past me like I was standing still. Very impressive.
Thanks to all.

Who is in the last photo? Their bike is much too small, their knees are hitting their elbows.
You're sitting up far too high, making no effort to get your body and head low, and reduce your frontal area. You could replicate the same body position as photo 1 just by dropping your arms and shoulders.
And along with photo 1 get some clip on aerobars, they will make a huge difference.
I started in TT exactly the same, standard road bike, did a 30 I think. The next week I got aerobars and saved 1.5mins.
