Herne Hill Youth Omnium 2015

Sophie Lewis was the sole CCA representative at the final round of the London Region Youth Omnium Series at Herne Hill on Sunday. This was the last of three regional competitions to qualify for the national youth omnium finals. Sophie had an amazing day. She started off with a 2-lap time-trial, coming in 1st place, beating the course record! She then had a 7th place in the devil (legs were still hurting from the TT). A fouth place in the scratch race and 2nd place in the sprints and points races secured an overall 2nd place in the competition and a place in the National Finals to be held in Wolvehampton on 4th July!

    That's some riding Sophie...really proud of the way you have got down to serious racing and showing real promise for great things to come...keep with it and good luck for the Nationals
    Would be good if Sophie had some club there to cheer her on.
