Will be out on Saturday. Martin had a good route out to Ely and back that we did in the deep midwinter. Or maybe Phil's circuit of Bedfordshire via Harrold Country Park?
Been some serious hills last couple of weekends so flat and long good.
I was interested, as thinking of riding to St Ives and if group anti-clockwise was going to try and hang on for 20 miles to near the Offords....not up to 80miles at pace!
Good route with a stop at that excellent cafe at Harrold Country Park. About 10out at the start and we reduced a bit as folks turned off earlier. Nice to see Gavin and John (aka FD) out. Some quality bikes on show today as well - very nice.
I had 88miles at a tad over 18mph average. Thanks to Shaun and Martin for navigation (as usual).
Good luck to those riding the Chiltern 100 tomorrow. Looks like rain so take care out there.
My longest ride in a year. Pleased with that. I had to do a bit of back management towards the end but no pain, so improving nicely. Thanks for the company guys (and girl).
Really enjoyed that and glad that Shaun encouraged me to come out. Good to be out with some fellow Paris Nicers and others!
Thanks for the tow out to Harold Park, which meant I was able to enjoy the return journey with the wind mostly over my right shoulder. Some new roads and some I hadn't ridden for a while, and bonus sunshine!
After leaving you at Sharnbrook, returned via Thurleigh, Ravensden, Wilden, Gt Barford, Blunham. Total 61 miles @ 17.2mph. Pleased with that.
Dave, I will post up that link for the Nice bike hire and cafe we chatted about. Or Google Cafe du Cyclist Le Rendez Vous. Here you go:

Tempted.....how far is the cafe and are there any turn-offs, as 80 miles is beyond me?
Gav, OK.
