U12's Lecthworth GP race report.
On Sunday 14th of June, 3 CCA riders took to the start line at the u12's Letchworth GP. Representing the blue train in this event was, Freddie Cooke, Archie Foulkes and Nathan Hardy.
The course was very technical to say the least, with a 180 hairpin, a 90 degree corner about 10 metres after and then another very tight bend straight after.
The race itself got off to an extremely fast start with the front group being made in the first technical section of the race, and soon a chase(?) group of 7 soon formed by the end of the first lap. This group had me and Freddie in it. The closest we got to the leaders was about 10 seconds, and for most of the laps we could see them on the home straight. Eventually, it ended in a group sprint.
Now for the results:
- Nathan Hardy 10th
- Freddie Cooke 11th
Not sure where Archie finished but still a great ride.
Nathan.
