Kicking this off early, I would like to do the Hatfield forest route.

    Reasonably 1065m in 100miles.

    On day 2 of Rando des Marmottes, I'd climbed 2000m by mile 24, so yes, Hatfield Forest is quite flat

    BTW I got out yesterday and everything here feels flatter than it used to. And Phil, you're going to love the sub-40 degree-ness even more than I did

    That was a great route! Lots of single track and lumps... and quieter roads.
    Minorca and Farr festival nxt week so see you after that.

    A very weird experience coming home from a long ride with something left in the tank. Clearly something to do with the lighter bike. I do like my bike.

    I felt a bit hot and bothered throughout today's ride and then quite light-headed from 1/2 way. I drunk a fair amount but probably not enough. Also felt some of the lanes were a bit small to be group riding at speed. . Another 115 miles in the legs though!

    I've entered the Interclub25 next week so will only be out for a a couple of hours next Saturday.

    Great to be back and it was wonderful to ride in the cool again ... but I miss proper tarmac, the sort they have in France
