I was wondering how the Fields were scoring such fantastic times - you're in a car!

Oh No been sussed.

Its easy really.

Make sure we have early consecutive numbers. Have car waiting at Guilden with TdF type team roof rack, drive to farm in Northfields, unload, pour drink over our heads to look like we have worked hard, sprint last mile finishing a few seconds apart from each other. :-)

I think it is your best time against the course record (which is coming down thanks to Cam)

That time difference is then taken off your time and then a separate list of net handicap times are reached and the lowest wins that week. The prize for which is free entry into next weeks TT.

Gareth is top dog in Northfield Handicap trophy this week
Thanks Stuart, you are basically right - simply worked out as how well you do against your PB compared to how everyone else does against theirs. PB is taken as best from this season and last. Newcomers need to post a time to get started so will not normally score well in their first week. The handicap uses a base level of club course record which is currently 21:35. Any nett time less than that will mean you have done a PB.
