edited September 2015 in Club runs
Ahoy for a scrum down

Weather forecast fair and dry
40 miles at 16 mph
Probably South East while we still can

Detox those rugby TV calories,
I know I will have plenty
........never again
Well until the weekend

  • England calories added
    Now for Ireland
Looks like a steady ride Sunday

  • Deserters and raiders from France approaching.

Hoping to join the Pirates tomorrow.
  • Yo Ho me hearties

    Back from foreign climes....

Till noon we quietly sailed on,
Yet never a breeze did breathe:
Slowly and smoothly went the ship,
    Moved onward from beneath.

    See you anon

  • Ahoy Japanese stars

Crew swelled by Paris nice nasties
Approx 10 for approx 35 miles at approx 16 mph
No idea where we went, but rolling hills order of the day
    Glorious ride in glorious weather

Great lead out by the strong boys
30 mph back from red hill
Perfect for the Captain to take the last 100 meters
Jettisoned ballast to ensure end of season glory
    Some things do not change

    Let's hope Indian summer continues
    England win the World Cup
    Fine peloton, fair sailing

Thanks for the coffee, James as well as the magical mystery route

For mojito fans everywhere, these are the only High 5 gels that I like
  • A great ride across the rolling hills of Herts & Essex. I saw tactical prowess taken to whole new level, when the Captain ensured 'morning glory' using distraction techniques.
Looking forward to some "Indian Summer" rides

Magical mystery tour of Herts lanes and very pleasant it was too.

FD pulling hard on the front doing super domestique duties for James on Slip End.

Pirate ride always an eclectic mix - recommended.

    Banzai!

Land of the Rising Sun ride for the Ten Samurai today:

Claybush Hill, Baldock, Quickswood, Clothall, Halls Green (Rising Sun pub!), Walkern, Benington, Dane End, Mundens, Ardeley, Cromer, Cumberlow Green, Rushden, Ashwell.

Some hills, plenty of moaning from the back, even though Sonic or I were not there.

Usual gallop towards the end, Cap'n threw his toys out the pram and came past in the last 5 feet for the win.

Welcome coffee and banter in the Cap'n's cabin afterwards. No saki, let alone mohitos.

Thanks everyone for a lovely ride and see you soon.

  • Thanks guys for the ride this morning, great :- weather, company, banter and coffee.
  • Morning Glory"

    All your dreams are made
When you're chained to (your) mirror with (your) razor blade
Today's the day that all the world will see
    Another sunny afternoon
(I'm) walking to the sound of your favorite tune
Tomorrow never knows what it doesn't know too soon
