Saturday 26th September 9.30am club ride

edited September 2015 in Club runs
I have returned from my travels !

Going to be a lovely autumn day tomorrow, so where shall we go??

N, S, E or W - any prefs?

Let me know and I'll pull a cracker of a route out of my hat :)

  • Sounds good, I haven't done a club run for a long time! As I don't go anywhere north of Ashwell on my own I'd be happy with a route in that direction.

Just off to Aldi to see what random stuff they have left...
  • Last week we went West, and before that South I think, so yes North is probably next.

I'm going to the Velodrome on Sunday so will just be out for a short ride tomorrow.
  • Right north it is then!

See you in the morning, don't forget your sunnies :)
  • Not having been out with the club for a few week, I have to say what a great ride.
Lovely still day, negligible wind, a chill to start, which warmed up nicely, great pace (for me) and good company.
Reminded me why I enjoy cycling and riding with the club.
    Thanks all.

  • After we finally prised ourselves from the front of the Tuns sun trap we headed of 'up north' into the early autumn chill for a lively paced jaunt to Yelling and back.

Like Adam said about, it was one of those rides that makes riding a bike so fantastic. Bright sunshine and a gentle breeze all the way & topped off with some great banter.

Of course we didn't stick to the planned route, so a right turn in Gransden instead of a left and a run back into Ashwell via Gamlingay, Hatley water tower before a charge down northfields. Great leadout by Mike & 'mount ventoux' DaveW before a last minute streak to the line by Jenny.

Morning was topped off by T in the Tuns garden. Thanks all for a great morning, let's hope the Indian summer continues and we can do a repeat next week!
