Velodrome accreditation level 2

edited September 2015 in General
In an effort to get accredited before next September I've just booked my level 2 accreditation for Saturday 31st Oct at 8.00pm.
There were plenty of slots still available but being a Saturday they are likely to go quick. I can give anyone who also wants to go a lift.

Booking here. you will need to become a member and ask them for level 1 first, which they will give you if you've been on a club session.

when I enquired yesterday LVVP said that the club session we all attended on Sunday did not count to stage 1 accreditation and we would have to start at stage 1. I said that Sam had attended a taster and a cluster session previously but they weren't having it.
  • Thats very annoying. I guess they have changed their stance on that since last year when they gave me my level 1 after one of the club sessions.

Its a bit tedious because the level 1 is not going to be very exciting for you or Sam.

Did anyone else manage to get their level 1 last year?

Yes, I did, emailed them after the first club session and they just gave it to me. This was June last year though, so some time ago now.
  • Yes same for me when I asked, so Andrew and I have booked the 7pm Stage 1 session on 31st Oct.

Sorry all - yes they did change their stance after the 2nd club session that we ran and accreditation can no longer be part of the club sessions.

Glad so many of you enjoyed it so much that you are going back for more - it's a great facility and the more use it gets the better.

I know some have already paid for last Sunday's session but could the rest of you please pay £24 per rider for the session,

Please either pay into club account or bring cash/cheque to club night next Tuesday payable to CC Ashwell.

To pay into bank account: Cycle Club Ashwell, sort code 20-41-12, acct no 20382167 - please put reference VELO and your surname.
  • Just seen this post. Me and a friend are doing stage 1 accreditation on Monday 5th October at 9am. There were plenty of spaces when I booked. Early start, as planning to get to stadium for 7.45am, but should be awesome.
  • I got Sophie accredited at Newport (£10) and then she only needed to do her level 4 at Lee Valley. I don't know it Derby are doing any accreditation sessions but it might be worth looking at, as you might be able to get through everything in one day at Derby and then just do the level 4 test at Lee Valley.

It may also be worth doing a level 2/3 earlier in the day/evening and then try and get onto the next stage on the same day. You cannot pre-book the second session on the same day but if there are spaces then there is nothing to stop you booking while you are there.
