extra loop to Sundon will make it 50 and slightly shorter if we come back via Pirton/Letchworth

Another healthy turnout for yesterday's Saturday morning spin. Bit of a grey start, but the sun soon burnt through the clouds to make it a pretty warm Halloween day. Good pace out to Barton le clay then a right slog up Sharpenhoe clappers - never gets any easier no matter how many times you climb it! From there it was a lovely rolling route all the way back to Ashwell. Pretty sure we must have set some sort of record with the power climb up from Whitwell.

Decided on a slight deviation on the published route in Baldock, so went up and over the top to Wallington before the classic slip end sprint. Even with his awesome sounding deep section wheels DaveW couldn't quite keep stop a flying Gavin who just pipped him to the sign.....

All topped off with a refreshing T in the sunshine on the Tuns patio. Superb
