And I can't operate on this failure When all I want to be is Completely in command How can I be sure For all you say you keep me waiting How can I be sure When all you do is see me through I asked for more and more
Yo Ho, post oblivion, I say, post oblivion shipmates!
A hangover clearing circular lap of the muddy Letchworth Greenway on the gas-pipe Cotic 'cross bike this morning.
Full fat 33c Challenge Grifos knobblies made short work of the mud and leaves, not so good on the tarmac.
Lots of hard intervals to sweat the grog out. Even saw a solo Jane on the Willian Baldock cut through road section.
Round like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel Never ending or beginning on an ever-spinning reel Like a snowball down a mountain, or a carnival balloon Like a carousel that's turning running rings around the moon Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes on its face And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space Like the circles that you find in the windmills of your mind
Now off to the Rapha cross and Olympic Velodrome for more bikes and grog. Magic circles indeed.
I'm going to pass today. 50mph winds here in Hitchin could make group riding too dangerous, especially not having ridden in a group for 2 months. Stay safe out there!
I rode out to the Tuns and met two other CCA. Nearly got blown off twice on the way to the pub. Felt a bit anti-social but made decision to ride alone. Was the best call. Did two bridges with some extra bits added in. Wasn't that much fun to be honest but job done.

First of the year
Classic route
Should be with the Looneys, subject to grog intake at the double-header Rapha cyclocross and Olympic Velodrome birthday bash tomorrow!
Can't beat getting upside down with the Flying Dutchwoman's consent while watching live cycling.
Listen to me when I'm a talkin' to you, boy.
DOWN Toffees Hill and no looney Road Runner or Speedy Gonzales pace either, seeing I've not been on the Porky Pig for 8 weeks. Beep beep!
Gotta go - Friday oblivion beckons, I say, oblivion boy.
Foghorn Dutchman
All hands needed to give pale shelter. You give me cold hands etc
Definitely out regardless of the weather.

And I can't operate on this failure

Completely in command
How can I be sure
For all you say you keep me waiting
How can I be sure
When all you do is see me through
I asked for more and more

Funny how it seems
Always in time, but never in line for dreams
Head over heels when toe to toe
This is the sound of my soul
This is the sound
Will be there

Foghorn the Chicken.
Winds do drop later, but still 30mph gusts.
Really fancy a ride, but not worth coming off
The chicken is right
I say the chicken is right folks
Not looney enough

Hope Fin and Richard had a safe one.
