Redgrave CX

edited November 2015 in Cyclocross/Offroad
Oof, proper Belgian today, sideways icy rain, mud ,more mud, lots of unrideable slop and a bit of welcome road.
Very hard on hands and feet and hard on the kids.
I dont think ive run as much in a cx race before but had a good one.
Will post the results up later as ive got to head out now.

Oh and dont tell anyone, its not very Sven, but i wore my gillet under my skinsuit...worked a treat!

  • Tough one today, chapeau to all those that raced.

I'm surprised you were cold Tim because you were on fire! Great ride.
  • Well done Tim, great result. Beetroot effect?

It was definitely the carrot cake! I had the beetroot starter and it did not help me one bit. Very tough out there today.
  • Well done to everyone especially the youngsters it was proper tough out there. I Was off the bike 6 times per lap which is pretty unusual and was running the whole of both banked sections. I watched a lot of the v50 race from the comfort of the club house and watched Daniel and Stuart having a great battle at the end, Stuart clawing back Daniel on the final banked section. Looked like Daniel started with 2 terrific laps.
All the races looked very slow.

Yes, did have one of those Beetroot shots, stood in the gale, rain smacking me in the face, held my nose and knocked it back, didn't taste a thing thankfully.

  • Tim - wouldn't worry about the gillet, Sven was racing in leg warmers today......check out UCI Youtube channel
  • Sven in legwarmers...must have been cold. Good to see him winning again.

Nice phote Felix, those hurdles were incredibly high!
