Three of us set out on Susan's brilliant suggestion of a cake run.
On the road between Old Warden and Southill we met a riderless horse! The rider having borrowed a bike from a cyclist who happened upon her giving chase. We blocked the road and caught the horse.
I gave the rider a leg up back onto the horse and Vic returned the bike back to its rightful owner. Happy faces all round!!
Surely some brownie points for horse/cycle relations!

Alas we had to buy our own cake and coffee, but like the ride they were great, even with the equestrian drama. Nice to get out of the cold for a bit mid-ride, though it did feel chilly when we got going again.
