See you there Robbie - I owe you coffee and cake!
  • Should be there this Saturday. Will deffo be steady for me as recovering from a cold.

    Any thoughts on route?
  • am thinking of dusting down a bike and joining you !
  • Route.... probably Barkway Duxford Haslingfield Bourne....
    unless we fancy something else.
  • I'm in. See you at Ashwell for 8am.
Looking forward to coffee and cake.
  • I'll bring me hip flask too! Dusted that down and filled it up!
  • Windy return! Good though. Phil pulling us back.
  • 54 miles for me

Got slightly distracted in Cockayne Hatley by the hunt. There were hounds all over the road and locals having a good old pre-Christmas chinwag. They're much more effective at slowing down the traffic than I am with my bike :)

67 miles from home at bang on 16mph.
Not fully recovered from a cold and suffered a bit today - not sure if it was kill or cure.
Just looking on the Internet for a hip flask.
Finally feel like Christmas is coming....
See you on Monday for the 1st festive 50 of 2015!

Official ride stats = 60 miles at avg of 16.8

Enjoyed that...sitting on the patio at Bourne cafe in December...in the sun ('ish)...

Trust you got home ok. Andy

    See you Monday...

Cheers all, good workout in the wind today.

Phil: I limped home with a (third!) slow puncture. After waving goodbye to Jeremy, the last 20 miles plugging away on my own into the headwind was not much fun! I've just spent the evening fitting new tyres...

Ditched the last of the tubeless this afternoon.
Tubeless Mavic tyres roll well but seem to suck up every flint and shard of glass.
Tubeless could work with better and more robust tyres.
Definitely the future but needs more thought.
28mm Continental 4 seasons fitted and ready for festive 50s.
  • Good choice of tyre Jeremy - heavy but bombproof
