Light shower at the start, pouring in the middle and deluge at the end. It's only water. Pirates are used to it.

A bit special though, using the bilge pumps to squeeze the water out of gloves, hat, shoes, ears, eyes....

Flat northern route became westerly, 'flat route'. Everton Hill and Hatley Hill don't count as hills apparently. They were merely mirages in the heat-haze rising from the tarmac.

No idea how many watts we used, although there were a few whys, ifs and buts from the soaking crew.

Well done the magnificent seven, plus Harry Hinxworth, who joined us at Everton level crossing.

Very tidy riding from the crew in testing conditions.

Haven't had as much 'fun' in ages. At least it wasn't windy.

Strange that the downpour ended, just as I turned the car engine off in Hitchin. Perfect timing.

Operation Sofa now in full swing, with a cheeky 'rehydration' drink or 2 to assist the recovery.

    Flotsam Dutchman
  • Cheers All, Enjoyed that!
    Exactly as advertised.
Good to catch up with people I've not seen in a while
  • Did it rain then ?
Gloves damp, but only from those with mud guards
    Good ronseal ride
    All aboard the pig
She sails 09.30 tomorrow for a cheeky one

  • No Cap'n - it never rains but it pours.

Wetter than a sailor called Wet, who lives in Damp Drive, Deluge, DR1 PPY

I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes
