  • Yo Ho! Ho! Ho! Wimpoles fans

Come and join the crew in a flat fen-like furry frenzy.

We Wish You a Wimpoling Merry Christmas by The Wimpoles? Perfect.

Cap'n dressed as Great Uncle Bulgaria or Madame Cholet?

I'll be Tomsk, the big fat Wimpole. As usual.

  • A French fancy I think
    Feather duster
    Far more fun
    Wimpole wander works wonders

    ( the Wright one )
  • Might need a translation on that one

Madam cholet from the wombles ( as per FD above ) wears a French maid outfit as she cleans
    Hence feather duster
MC as in madam cholet not mark constable
Hence the right one but with a W for wombles

Alliterations with an F move to a W due to wombles
    Simples
( as in the meerkats )

Try drinking it helps to understand
Or just rubbish with no meaning
Take a theme add something else and then mix them up

    Ride starts 09.30
    Drinking already in progress
  • Yo Ho! Ho! Ho!

    Wombles, Wimpoles and wimpouts

.....Come join the fat furry loonies for festive fun.

    Where's Wally? With Wellington.

Or Orinocco. Obgliatory oleaginous obdurate obfuscation OK?

Also dusting off the drinks cabinet, Madame C, with gusto

Dry tomorrow so I'm happy to sit behind those, including Madame Cholet, who have inadequate winter mudguards....

......Especially on the section back from Wombles Hall to Hinxworth. Always loved an armchair.

  • 30 miles at 16.6mph
Nice dry day with some sunshine

    Fact of the day :
If turn right when heading east
Called South in the common tongue

  • Lovely ride out today with rare sight of Cap'n doing a turn on the front.

Pigs can fly after all. No doubt a blue moon tonight.

Sgt Pain in the zone from Wombles Hall to Guilden, keeping tempo at just over evens. Shame he's not wide or tall enough though to provide some decent shelter. Neither is Madame 'chevron' Cholet.

    Facts of the day:

    Wrestlingworth is north of Ashwell
    Barkway is east of Ashwell
Shepreth is north east of Ashwell
Turning 90 degrees right in Shepreth therefore changes course to south east
The wind today, according to the Beeb was ESE.

  • Indeed, a lovely change being able to enjoy an armchair ride - must be a blue moon later.

Something wrong with Sarge's right elbow: it kept flicking uncontrollably. I thought it was his left shoulder that was broken?

Cap'n in second place didn't seem to notice anything though. Maybe he was affected by the arc light yesterday.

    A day of wonders.
