    Nice, good project, providing employment, using local, sustainable materials.

    One of the mechanics at Pro Cycle Hire in Mallorca has a fixie, road bike with a bamboo frame. He let me take it for a spin a couple of years ago and it was comfy, quick bike and I really enjoyed riding it.

    The landlord of the digs I'm staying in at the moment has a bamboo mountain bike that he built himself, great looking thing. He loves it, says he'd take it out on pretty much anything a hardtail can do. Not the heaviest bike I've picked up too...
