Aiming for steady but purposeful pace (16-17mph average).
Will be passing through Ashwell at 9.30am.

envious guys.....looks like you had a great ride. Weather up here is pants. Starting 1am 50 mph winds reaching high 60's continuous until Sat.evening. add to this copious amounts of rain and it has been roller intervals for weeks now.
Hoping the weather will improve but not betting on it.
Geoff - been hearing on news about road closures on A66 due to winds.
Sounds like you are at least motivated to get on the rollers/turbo.
Can't be too long now before you get a window of opportunity to ride.

Just amazing being out in the winter sun. Hertfordshire and Essex were looking stunning today; even with some herts thrown in to complete the vista.
Tired now though...
Perfect winter day with super quiet roads.
Blue Egg on form as usual.
Ended up with 85miles at 15-16mph.
