No preference on route if we're headed North - that's out of my neck of the woods. I've got to head off to the Midlands shortly afterwards, so anything with potential for an early bailout (if required) may be of benefit.
Well, that was an experience. Phil, Al and I made it out for a trip to Harold and Odell. Conditions were as bad as I can remember riding in. The outward journey was gruelling into a strong headwind. Return was easier, but complete lack of circulation to hands made for quite an unpleasant experience. Phil spurred us on to complete the round trip at ~28-29km/h. Strava "suffer scores" were quite something. Question: How come the worse the conditions get, the harder Phil is able to ride? Monster performance!
Actually feel quite chuffed to have done that. Time for a rest :-)
