Cambridge CC open 10 on the F2D/10
On Saturday 30th of April CCA fielded 6 riders on a pretty hellish day for a time trial. Myself, Andy Whale and Tom Trimble were all off within ten minutes of each other, coinciding with the windiest bit of the afternoon. Spinning out on the way out with a rather strong tailwind, the way back was pretty demoralising so it was satisfying to know that our three times picked up the team prize.
5th: Tom Trimble 20:44
9th: William Smith 21:29
11th: Andy Whale 21:41
23rd: Michael Martin 22:36
30th: Steve Jennings 22:57
8th woman: Janet Bassett 25:35
Janet had a good ride, picking up 3rd place in the handicap competition, an indication of what's to come from her. Another strong female time triallist in the club, she's only going to get better!
The riders who set off later seemed to have it a lot easier, as the wind dropped a fair amount from around half 3 and with Tom only 12 seconds from 2nd place...
