Club run review - 15th June
Two large groups today [Father's Day leniency?] - a club run led by Mark and a combined middle/nastissimos group led by Max - both with a dozen or so riders each.
Middle group started quickly - quickly averaging over 19mph - probably due to the adoption of Max's through and off when you're knackered 'speed dating' technique he picked up in NZ. Benington, Waterford, Tewin, Burnham Green, Woolmers Green and lots of other places in between I don't know too well. Very scenic with everything so green and lush - nice day for it.
Highlights included Max's lively debate with a horse rider to the bemusement of some village locals - vive la difference. And Tim was sporting his Father's Day gift Rapha top despite there definitely being pollen grains in the air to disrupt the fine weave of such a lovely garment.
In the end, 18.5mph average - and just under 50 miles.
Club run managed a pacey 16.7mph average and probably some distance given their late-ish arrival for coffee. It was good to see a few people who we haven't seen for a while.
