Ashwell Show, 29th Aug. Champion required
The Ashwell show is a large established country show that is happening on the August bank holiday monday. It raises a lot of money for the village amenities and is something that Ashwell residents, clubs and organisations are encouraged to be a part of. We have been asked if we can have a presence or run a stall this year.
As many of you know we have been looking at potentially running a road race or crit in Ashwell at some point and the show would provide a good basis with food stalls, loos, a traffic cleared High Street and all the other amenities in place. This is obviously looking in to the future a bit and it may or may not happen but if we want to get the village on board we probably need to show willing soon.
With this in mind we could do with someone to champion the Ashwell show and bring something from CCA to the event. It could be anything really and doesnt need to be a big event. We have a gazebo, flags, PA, various kit and caboodle that can be used. Off the top of my head im thinking....a small bike display...guess the weight of the bike competition....a mini kids go ride/ obstacle course or anything that you might want to come up with that gives the club a presence and maybe raises a few quid.
The problem of course is that many people are away on holiday and its Mildenhall weekend as well but if there is anyone that can champion this cause then let us know as soon as possible.
