I'll be out tomorrow morning Way Out West for a lumpy circuit on the East Devon/West Darzet border. Plenty of hills around here to counter the Zider and fish & chips diet. The food of champions.
Rousden, Seaton, Beer (yes, there really is a place called that!) Branscombe, Sidmouth, Exmouth and return.
Decided to head inland away from the busy coastal roads. Clockwise circuit around Rousden, Seaton, Honiton. 35 miles @15mph...monstrous seas abound in this area!
11 out for back to the future 40 miles all flat or down hill and wind behind Nice and steady at the helm Sprint void as " winner" only joined us at the end
I am told monstrous white beast has been sighted to the South Beware all ships sailing in those parts
All men live enveloped in whale-lines. All are born with halters round their necks; but it is only when caught in the swift, sudden turn of death, that mortals realize the silent, subtle, ever-present perils of life. And if you be a philosopher, though seated in the whale-boat, you would not at heart feel one whit more of terror, than though seated before your evening fire with a poker, and not a harpoon, by your side.

As for me, I am tormented with an everlasting itch for things remote. I love to sail forbidden seas, and land on barbarous coasts.

Feel alive with salt in your face
To the horizon and look into the eye of the beast
Sunday 09.30
...to the last I grapple with thee; from hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee.
Sailing back to calmer home waters from the mountainous seas of Devon this Friday, so will be around on the sabbath.
