Should be there on Sunday for the usual banter and laughs.

Ampthill busy, but suitable for a S'Westerly.

    Yo Ho

2 routes sounds good for the both of me.

Expecting to hear these quotes on the road from both of the Cap'n's:

'Get out of my way son, you're usin' my oxygen'

'I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this'

    Look out for nurse Ratched

  • 2 route ride
All out to Ireland, then split at the junction.
Longer route Ampthill and flitwick with 2 climbs about 45 miles
Shorter return via old warden and two bridges route about 35 miles
Two for the shorter route so far.

  • I've thrown away the blues
    I'm tired of being used
    I want everyone to know
I'm looking for a good time

We went out for a lovely solo ride today, or was it rubbish? We can't agree.

Therfield, Reed, Barkway, Little Chishill, Langley Lower Green, Duddenhoe End, Arkesden, Rickling Green, Manuden, Maggots End, Stocking Pelham, Brent Pelham, Meesden, Anstey, Nuthampstead, Barkway, Reed, Therfield.

    38miles @ 16.5mph or was it 16.5miles @ 38mph? We're so confused.

A ride of 2 halves; wind behind on the way out, it got stiffer on the way back. Very uncomfortable, no matter how much I shifted position.

As there are 2 rides tomorrow, will we be flying double standards?

  • Yo Ho blues brothers

Used to be so easy to give my heart away
But I found out the hard way
There's a price you have to pay
I found out that love was no friend of mine
I should have known time after time

So long, it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you

The black pig and the flying dustman set sail into the breeze
    Split just after Ireland
Piglets 45 miles via flitwick at 15.8 mph
Dustmen about 35 miles at 14 to 15 mph.

Breezy but sunshine, hills and blown back at speed
Good mix with 2 routes, will do again next week
So good club run for short route, a bit faster with hills the longer route.
Come along, mixed company and abilities
