Well I had been told it was a 'fast, course, an 'easy out n back' - give it a go! Well in what seems to be tradition for me and my first attempts at various opens this year it was hideously windy and despite some negative vibes about how slow it would be from my fellow competitors at the start I 'womaned up' and set off into the unknown.
As the sole representative from CCAshwell I did the club proud and only went and won the ladies competition! Knocking 2 mins off my 25 time to date I came in at 64:33 - 5mins from 2nd lady. It certainly wasn't easy, it was terrifying and soul destroying but I guess now I'm a true tester if it's measured by cycling up and down the A1 at 6.30am!
