Eastern League CX Rnd 4 Northlands - Basildon

Yet another dry day for Round 4 of the Eastern cyclocross league on Sunday. The rain we left at home early morning, and was supposed to follow us on our journey east, never made it across to Basildon. I must admit, I’m beginning to get worried that I’ve forgotten how to clean a bike.

The number of racers this week was slightly down across some categories, with a number of other events happening on Sunday (Mud Sweat & Gears, 3 Peaks & the start of the Central CX league too).

A potential CX double-header next weekend. Saturday it’s over to Hadleigh for Push Sports round at the Olympic MTB park, and Sunday sees the return to Colchester for VC's Revolution round.

My 37th position looks better than it really is. Only 5 finishers behind me but that's 3 more than last week. I'm surprised my rear wheel survived the poorly executed bunny hops over the ditch. Another tough race and a reminder of just how unfit I am.
