After the hills session last Saturday should we do Martin's Grafton Waters route which is about 70m?

  • in France skiing for two Sats :-)
  • Not around this weekend - am taking my bike up north and away from snow!
    Here's the 72 mile Grafham route I was thinking before. Saturday might be a popular day - instead of Valentines. Or not!

    Sunday after [the 21st]: Doing the North Bucks 50 mile reliability ride and treating it like a sportive, near Milton Keynes. Me and Daniel signed up. 4 x 15%+ hills for that Sundon Hill wobbly feeling;

    Like Skelders then - next Sat ride on 27th for me.
  • I am up for it
  • Got the map Martin - cheers ears.
  • Nice one - the wind is in the perfect direction in the morning: so tougher first half, better secky half. Have a great ride!
  • looking after kids tomorrow as Jane has a night out tonight. Also 70miles is a bit much for me as i burnt out after about 45miles on Sunday and only just made it home before the energy vanished. Will try to get out on the Sunday ride this weekend.
    hope there are enough of you for the long ride.
    enjoy

  • Three of us out on the middle group ride today, Robbie,John and myself.Tough ride most of it into a headwind.
    Did a variation of the planned ride due to going off route a couple of times.
    81 miles, average speed 16.8, total climbing 2398 feet,
    Great ride

    Not sure knckd covers it! Thanks for carrying me around you two. Can of coke, flapjack and a lay down on the floor in days just about gave me enough to get home.

    Nice lunch robbie?
  • Nice family lunch dressed in wet lycra at the Black Horse in Ireland (after bumping into Tim who gave me an escort from Old Warden).
    Felt great after a couple of pints and a meal... until the ride back to Ashwell. Top ride chaps... in the legs.
